Hold up

about

This is one of the two songs that I co-wrote with Marc. I loved his melody and the sentiment of the song so wrote the second verse and changed some of the other stuff too. For me it's a song about resilience and believing in better times.

lyrics

September’s rain is falling
With tears in my heart keep calling
This road I ride, going nowhere
Will you help me friend will you meet me there
This world’s tears have brought me to my knees

Hold up, hold on, hold tight
There’s nothing but trouble in mind tonight
Hold up, hold on, hold tight
There’s nothing but trouble in mind tonight

So the summer’s gone for another year
When it comes again will we still be here?
Through falling snow and icy winds let’s make a pact to meet in spring
If I can believe that you’ll be there for me

Chorus

And now I can see you’re always there for me

Hold up, hold on, hold tight, there’s nothing but loving in mind tonight
Hold up, hold on, hold tight, there’s nothing but loving in mind tonight
Hold up, hold on, hold tight, there’s nothing but loving in mind
